Programme profile
Civil engineers design, construct and manage infrastructure and major building projects. This programme will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to manage such projects, through combining technology with the organisational side of these types of projects.
Programme content
This programme focuses on three core themes: construction, traffic and water.
During the first year you have an introduction module on Civil Engineering and three modules on each of the three core themes. You also follow a mathematics programme that is common to all the engineering degrees. Throughout the modules you will also learn about (fluid) mechanics, materials and project management.
During the second year the modules are more multi-disciplinary: Sustainable Civil Engineering, Area Development and Risk and Safety, for example.
During the third year you have half a year of electives before graduating. You can use this elective space to either deepen your knowledge or to expand your horizons by studying abroad
